1. Go for a swim. Swimming may not be a specific abdominal exercise, but it is one of the best cardiovascular exercises, which means it can boost your metabolism for hours afterwards. This, in turn, means you get to burn more body fat, starting with the fat around your stomach. Because you have to exercise in water, you burn more calories as well, and since swimming exercises every muscle in your body, you’ll end up with more than just toned abs. You’ll have a leaner, stronger entire body to show off, too.
2. Avoid stress. Stressful situations may be inevitable but whether you get stressed or not is up to you. Just keep in mind that stress can slow down your metabolism while making you eat more, which means it can counter your efforts to tone your abs. Now, that’s even more stressful.
3. Avoid midnight snacks. Unless you want your last meal of the day to end up as another layer of fat around your stomach, eat dinner early and sleep early. You’ll want to stay away from snacks, as well, and don’t even think about calling the nearest 24-hour fast-food chain.
4. Go for healthy drinks. Cut down on the booze and the carbonated drinks. Rather, drink plenty of water and green tea to speed up your metabolism and help you tone your abs.
